This is game that will teach you how to make money by either owning property or having a homebased business, being online or staying offline. Making money is one of humanities strongest drives since this is the measure of our success in our subconcious. People may disagree with this but it is a fact that if you have enough money most things are allot more handleable and tolerable. Most people have a day job and would like to work from home in their sparetime, if such a thing exists and this is usually not pursued because they are to tired, can't find the time, have a possesive spouse, or don't think they have the money to do it. The "how to get rich" of life is in this game. Making money makes you rich.

It should be well known that you make a living in the day and you become wealthy after hours.

System requirements
You need to have Internet Explorer 5 or above installed on your system.
Your webpage textsize (set by View-Textsize) should be medium.
Your monitor needs to set at 800 x 600 or above for proper viewing.
Internet Explorer has to be in an expanded window.
Active X content must be allowed for this to work properly.Set this in your Internet Options window (Windows 95,98 or 2000) or allow Active X content when you open one of the levels (for XP users). Windows should return your settings to what they were before you played this game if you are using XP. If you are running Windows 95,98 or 2000 you will have to return to the Internet Options window and change them back to what they were before you played this game.

"Tutorial"

Gold is a game where the object is to become financially free.
Anybody can do it as long as they use their heads and don't waste their time.
There are 3 different levels:

1 - Piece-a Cake (The Easy Level)
2 - Sure Thing (The Harder Level)
3 - Risky (The Even Harder Level)
4 - Hostile environment (The Hardest, Most Unpredictable Level)
5 - Gold for Couples (Couples play against each other on the same board.)

The Objective:

The object of the game is to be debt-free and create a passive income that exceeds your expenses.
When you have achieved this you have won the game and you may continue playing or start again.

Tutorial:

IMPORTANT - Read all 14 points before you start playing.

1- Start by Clicking the grey "Name?" button.
2- A box will then appear indicating what random number you rolled with the dice. This will be your carreer in the game.These are the Income and Expenses you will start the game with. Click "OK". Enter your name. Click "OK" again.
3- The game is set up like a board game where your Income and Expenses are in the middle of the board.Around this information you should see a ring of darkened coloured blocks. When one of these blocks light up it means you have landed on that block and have the options related to that block at that time.
4- Click the grey "Begin" button to start playing.
5- You will move forward on the board and the block you land on will light up.
6- When you land on an "Opportunity" block you may choose between a BIG deal or a SMALL deal. Big deals cost more.
7- When you land on a "Lucky Break" block the lucky break will happen to you and all calculations will be done automatically, enabling you to "Roll Dice" again.
8- When you land on a "Disaster" block the disaster will happen to you and all calculations will be done automatically. If you are lucky the "Bureucratic System" forgets you exist and things might not be so bad for you. Thank goodness there are "cracks" sometimes.
9- When you land on a "Wage" block you will receive your wage minus current expenses. If the result is negative your balance will be reduced by the corresponding amount.Therefore you can go into a negative balance, much like living on credit that just gets deeper and deeper. If you happen to win some in the Lottery though it can turn everything around for you.
10- If you feel you are going too deeply into the negative you can click "Back" or "refresh" on your browser and it will return to the start of the game so that you can start a new game.You will have a new carreer though. You can do this at any time.
11- When you land on a "Bonus Wage" block you will receive your salary without any deductions being taken off.
12- When you land on a "Hole" block nothing will happen except if you have passed a "Wage" block you will receive your wage. As in all other cases.
13- When you land on a "Baby" block you will be the lucky recipient of a beautiful baby and your expenses will increase accordingly.

14- The "Pay Off Debt" buttons are there for you to click when you want to pay off a particular debt. If you do not have enough in your "Balance" you will not be able to pay it off.
15- You can trade in shares as well and sell shares you have bought but only when the shares you bought are trading at that time.

The Rules:

1 - You must stay within a limit of 10 separate share transactions.
2 - You must stay within a limit of 21 separate businesses. You may not be able to become debt-free after that.
3 - You must enjoy yourself and learn through playing, this is how the wealthy do it.
